Sobriety For The Sensitive Soul

A 3 month program designed specifically for Highly Sensitive People looking to say goodbye to alcohol and cultivate a more nurturing relationship with themselves.

You’ve been quietly contemplating what a sober life might look like. What it might feel like. You’ve likely been deep in the throes of shame and wondering if there’s more to life…than this.

There is.

This is for you if:

  • You’re a newly sober or sober curious person, or someone looking to re-enter into sobriety.

  • You’ve participated in (or maybe even finished) a dry January or sober October but it was a slog and you found yourself with a drink in hand again on day 31.

  • You’re curious and wanting to explore a new relationship with alcohol. Not what you think it should look like. Not what other people think it should look like.

  • You know that there is a life beyond booze but can’t seem to stick to your Sunday morning promise of “ugh…I’m never drinking again.”

  • You’re sick of waking up with feelings of regret and shame around your drinking habits.

  • You’re feeling alone in your sober curious journey and are looking for connection with other sensitive souls.

What you’ll receive:

  • 3 months together in community

  • 11 live, 75 minute calls. We will have 2 weeks off for integration in December.

  • We’ll cover topics ranging from: shame, navigating triggers & managing cravings, emotional regulation, filling the space alcohol once occupied, reclaiming parts lost to drinking and (re)discovering your sober self.

  • 24/7 group chat support and accountability in between calls; where you can give and receive support
with your fellow members who understand the challenges of this journey - so much magic happens here!

  • Resources and tools that you’ll learn to apply yourself, so you can become your own advocate and coach during challenging times.

✨Sobriety for the Sensitive Soul is a compassionate and empowering voyage into the beginning stages of sobriety so you can continue your journey feeling strong and supported with newly gained tools, perspectives and connections - and takes you from I can’t drink anymore to I don’t have to drink anymore.

An intimate group experience for those looking to change their relationship with alcohol - and themselves.

This is about more than fireside chats:

  • Because you’ll also be learning how to soothe yourself in healthy ways when the cravings show up.

  • You’ll be testing out new boundaries with loved ones and work and yourself with the most loving, benevolent support.

  • You’ll be gently trying new ways to BE with yourself instead of constantly trying to escape yourself. You’ve done that for so long, and you know it just doesn’t work for you anymore.

  • You’ll be given explicit permission to start trying the things you’ve always wanted to try but thought your dreams weren’t as important taking care of everyone else’s.

  • You’ll be guided to tap into your innate wisdom and knowing that’s always been there but has been drown out by alcohol + other people’s opinions.

Welcome to Sobriety for the Sensitive Soul:

Phew, that already sounds so much better than what you’re currently doing, doesn’t it?

What else can you expect? Let’s see:

By Day 1: You’ll let go of the isolation you feel because you’ll be in the company of other tender, empathetic and brave humans who have a shared lived experience. Immediate relief.

By Week 2: You’ll uncover the unconscious thoughts that are keeping you drinking (these are going to surprise you, trust me). You can’t change what you’re not aware of. This step is KEY.

By Week 3: You’ll be able to identify, understand and name your triggers. You’ll be able to recognize how they feel in your body AND - most importantly - learn what to do with them using quick, easy and impactful tools.

By Week 4: You’ll learn emotional techniques that help you stay with yourself in times of distress instead of reaching for a glass of wine.

BONUS: these techniques can be applied TO ANY difficult situation you encounter in life. Learning this alone is worth the cost of this program.

By Month 2: you’ll develop a solid foundation of self-knowledge so you no longer outsource your inner knowing to other people (your mom, your friends, your spouse).

By Month 3: (and this is a FUN ONE!) you’ll have saved some cold hard cash that you would have otherwise peed down the drain and now you can spend it on things that actually align with your values.

***and there is so much more in between. These are just a few of the things we are going to accomplish together…all the while having a dream team of other humans cheering you on. People to laugh with. People to cry with. People who get you.***

Imagine

You, me and a few soon-to-be soul sisters, staying in a cozy, snowy, log cabin adorned with soft white lights, the smell of pine + over-sized couches covered with plush pillows and blankets.

Fresh out of the shower, you throw your hair in a bun and put on your softest, just-washed pyjamas. You make your way down the warm, wooden stairs and slowly pour yourself some of the smoothest coffee you’ve ever tasted.

You quietly pad over to the warm and softly sparking fireplace and join in a conversation that lands deeply, and permanently in your heart.

You intently listen to a woman with a full smile and gentle laugh in her 40's, talk about the pressures of being a working mom, raising two kids with little support.

She tears up a bit as she tells you about her utter exhaustion trying to manage a household and parent her kids without having a role model to look to for guidance. She shares that wine has felt like her only dependable companion as friendships drift apart and no one else in her life feels the knowing that she does...that wine isn’t actually the solution.

You see her so well. Because you ARE her. Seeing her here is a relief because it gives you belief that change is possible for you, too.

You haven’t even thought about wine because your cup is being filled with what it’s actually craving the most:

connection + witnessing.

Something in you starts to shift, because for the first time, in a very long time, the world doesn’t feel so heavy.

For the first time in what feels like forever, you don’t feel alone in the pain + shame you’ve carried around for an eternity.

Your shoulders drop and your neck softens as you feel the warmth of the fire on your skin.

That night, you crawl into bed and have the deepest sleep you’ve had in a long, long time.

Imagine.

  • "...it has completely changed my life"

I can't remember the sequence of events that lead me to Kristy's Instagram but the universe knew what it was doing. I first learned the definition of HSP through Kristy and I was hooked. I had been sober curious for awhile and as soon as she posted Sobriety for the Sensitive Soul I just knew I wanted to try it out even though I was scared. BEST DECISION EVER! From the first minute of the first session Kristy did an amazing job making me feel comfortable, seen and valued. She gave me the tools I needed to make better decisions for myself while acknowledging mind, body and soul. If you are on the fence about joining this group session please know that it has completely changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined a year ago.

    - Lynn P.

  • "I was able to release guilt and shame I held onto for years..."

I was alive in September 2022, but I was not living - I was merely existing day to day as a high functioning mother, wife and accountant. I didn’t know who I was. I was drinking daily and knew something needed to change but also knew I couldn’t do it alone. Then the universe stepped in and my part led me to Kristy. I was able to join one of your small groups - this is when my life really started changing and I finally began living. In her group, I was witnessed, supported and guided. I was able to release shame and guilt that I held onto for years…while being met with love and compassion. I am no longer existing - I am growing and thriving. And it all started working with you - Kristy played an instrumental role in helping me save myself. I love myself and I’m excited for what lies ahead. I never imagined that i’d be able to say that and believe it. - Amy C.

  • "The only thing that has completely changed my relationship with alcohol and how I see myself has been working with Kristy."

Alcohol is a problem for me, but I didn’t fall into the typical definition of an addict. After I saw an addiction specialist, it felt like she didn’t know what to do with me: I didn’t have a DUI, I never put my children in harms way, it didn’t interfere with work. I felt like I had to be “worse” to get help.

Now I know that I was just so desperate for someone to help me feel seen and now drown in my own self-hatred and shame. I attended all the things, AA included. The only thing that has completely changed my relationship with alcohol and how I see myself has been working with Kristy.

    -Kristen C.

  • "Immediate comfort and support"

You were the first person I talked to about my decision to live sober…and your attentive approach provided immediate comfort and support. It is a true gift to be in the presence of someone who heartily hears me and taps into what I imagine for myself. Through your coaching, you helped me define a new path and lit the way for me. Thank you so much.

    - Megan D.

  • "...incredibly safe space for people like me to unpack some of the shitty baggage we’ve been lugging around for so long."

I will be eternally grateful for the way you showed up and held incredibly safe space for people like me to unpack some of the shitty baggage we’ve been lugging around for so long. And while you’re sensible and sensitive, you don’t stand for letting anyone get by with beating themselves up, either. You move with such honesty and integrity in that way. Thank you for seeing me, loving me, supporting me and encouraging me through some of the most difficult parts of this transformative journey. - Dana E.

  • "If you ever get the chance to work with Kristy, do it!"

If you ever get the chance to work with Kristy, do it! She has the most calming and understanding soul. With Kristy, you can celebrate your wins and be held through the tough times - she feels like a big, loving hug. Kristy made me feel safe when I needed a guide in some extremely difficult times. - Laura S.

Pay-What-Supports-You:

in an effort to keep this work accessible while also creating a reciprocal energy exchange, I’m introducing pay-what-supports-you pricing, which has been inspired by Simone Grace Seol & the Green Bottle Method by Worts + Cunning.

Consider the following as a guide for deciding to which investment is appropriate for your personal circumstances. It is also important to consider the amount of money you would typically spend on alcohol while in this program. For example: if drinking at home and out at bars/restaurants typically costs you $50/week, you will be saving $600 ($50x 12 weeks) which you would otherwise spend on alcohol that you can instead invest in education, connection and your lifelong well-being.

.

$1350.00

you have access to financial security, own property or have personal saving & you would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services. If you are able to pay for "wants" and spend little time worried about securing basic necessities in your life, you have economic privilege and power in your community - this price is for you.

enrollment closes on Sunday, Oct. 29th, 2023.

$1050.00

paying the full cost would prevent you from being able to attend and you do not honestly find yourself reflected in either descriptions for the highest cost or the lowest. Making this investment might mean you might have to cut back on some discretionary spending in your life (meals out, fancy coffees, buying a new outfit, or going on vacation), but the sacrifice is short-term, and will not harm you in the long term.

enrollment closes on Sunday, Oct. 29th, 2023.

$750.00

if you struggle to maintain access to basic needs such as housing, food, child care, or are in significant debt without any savings, you probably belong here and you deserve a community that honours your price as equal an economic offering as the person who can pay the highest tier. There are a limited number of spots available at this tier so please be sure this is truly the correct tier for you before selecting.

enrollment closes on Sunday, Oct. 29th, 2023.

Contribute to the Scholarship Fund

by becoming a sponsor, you’re “paying it forward” and contributing to the scholarship fund to make this work accessible to someone who otherwise would not be able to attend the program.

I can not tell you how much it means to those who attend through scholarship - to know a stranger believes that they are worthy of being cared for in this way. Thank you for participating in community care.

If the lowest price tier is truly prohibitive for you, and you would like to be considered for a scholarship spot, please email me here telling me a bit about yourself and current circumstance. This my way of investing in a world where every person gets to be a part of recovery community healing, so that we can de-couple recovery success from the effects of financial inequity.
